Have we finally got there?
CNN are reporting a 72% turnout for the elections in Iraq. My only reaction to this is a simple one: “fucking ace”. And for a day that pundits had predicted would be the absolute high noon for violence, I am tremedously surprised that only twenty-five people died during the voting period. Let’s just hope that the final transition of power over to the newly elected government will go without too much of a hitch.
