A pungent mix of programming, philosophy, pedanticism, procrastination, perplexity, peripheral political polemic, and platters of preposterousness.

I’m listening to WeFunk 330. “Dayz and Dayz” by Blaque Spurm is a great track. Can’t find it anywhere on the legit download sites. Note to Steve Jobs: get even more obscure. The long tail matters more than Britney Spears. You can get Britney Spears anywhere, you can’t get strange stuff anywhere. You have to drive around and find it or order CD’s from foriegn countries. Why not make it easy?

My student loan actually came in on Monday, for those following at home. This new system is apparently much more efficient. Strange. Two years ago, you simply went in to the university on the first day, and they gave you a cheque.

Last night I found a neat little hack for permalinks in WordPress - which only takes one second, and makes all your old posts accessible to both visitors and Google. Permalinks are a fine idea, except for the fact that whenever you change blog software, they break. But I had to change. GLUE, though good software, was unsustainable because of the TrackBack spam. Moveable Type 2 had the same problem (I speak from experience of clearing 20,000 spam comments and trackback pings from an unmaintained MT install).
