The National Secular Society have produced a report (PDF) calling for disestablishment of the church and pointing out the “unique” situation Britain currently resides in with more church-state overlap than any other Western nation.

Two great Londonist stories: The Sun is a totally humourless rag and our much-beloved friends at the Met are invesgitating whether the Gay Police Association have committed a “faith crime”. Oh, horray, people are being shot in the streets and the Met are investigating faith crime. Perhaps next they should move on to superstition crime, I’m-not-religious-I’m-spiritual crime and finish up with a chocolate-covered helping of there’s-got-to-be-something-out-there crime.
