The iPhone now has a “Find My iPhone” functionality which uses the built-in GPS to transmit the location of the phone back to Apple if you have a subscription to me.com, Apple’s MobileMe service. Well, happywaffle on LiveJournal used this functionality to track down and retrieve his iPhone from a thief in Chicago, Illinois. It’ll be interesting to see if “Find My iPhone” logs stand up in a court of law.

Aral Balkan seems to be loving his iPhone 3G S and makes this important point about video: I don’t care that the video is live, as long as it’s uploaded immediately; “immediacy” is the key word here, not “live”
. Damn right.
