ICANN sucks: we need to route around them
This can’t be real, can it? If it is, then how the fuck do we overthrow these ICANN shit-heads and get our Internet back? The process of gTLD assignment should be based on the needs of Internet users and based on IETF-style consensus, not based on who can spend a few thousand dollars basically bribing the authority that is supposed to be regulating the assigning of domain name services. What a fucking stupid shambles. If this shit continues, routing around the current idiots in charge through something like OpenNIC will be all the more necessary. I think one of the main problems with ICANN is that they are basically a monopoly player. That they already have the monopoly over .com/.org/.net/etc. means they can use that monopoly to push through new, shitty domain names like, oh, .shaq or .whoeverpaidusmostthisweek. Fuck that and fuck them!
